- A Tricast is where you name the first, second and third placed competitor in the correct order, for a race in which a tricast dividend is declared. In certain sports, a fixed-odds price might be offered for a specific finishing order.
- If a tricast bet is placed on a race for which no tricast dividend is declared, the bet will be settled as a straight forecast on the selections nominated to finish first and second. The competitor placing third will have no bearing on the settlement.
- Where one selection is a non-runner, the bet will be settled as a straight forecast on the remaining selections, which must finish first and second in the order specified for the bet to win.
- Where two selections are non-runners, the bet will be void.
